A repaired crack in a telephone pole. The crack was filled with wood putty and then gilded. The piece was installed in an industrial area on Cleveland’s southeast side. No identification was left with the piece.

The performer throws 20 shekels into the air in each verse, 7 verses, each verse a different denomination (10 agarot, half shekel, shekel, 2 shekel, 5 shekel, 10 shekel coins, and 20 shekel bill). Each verse consists of the sound of the money falling. Each verse begins with the perform calling out the name of the piece and the name of the denomination before throwing the money. The piece was performed in Hebrew.

Viewers were invited to write about their own house and someone else’s house on the structures. Signage in Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, and English. “You are invited to add comments to the sculptures. Think of one of the sculptures as ‘my house’ and the other sculpture as someone else’s house. Please write something (a memory, an impression, a feeling) about a house that you live in or have lived in on the ‘my house’ sculpture. Then write something bout a house you have visited or thought about on the ‘your house’ sculpture. For instance, I would write ‘my house is a little too small’ on one house, and ‘your house has rules about carpeting’ on the other.”

The plaster forms were cast in discarded milk cartons. The cartons were collected from coffee shops and restaurants over the course of several months. Each object retained the dents and other hand marks from the carton. Each object weighed approximately 2 pounds. After the gallery show, the objects were distributed to doorsteps in Madison, WI. The distribution process was done overnights, through the summer months as a piece called Home/Delivery.
